You might have some ideas about what needs to happen next: You need supplies (paints and brushes), marketing materials (flyers), website design or hosting…the list goes on and on! And while these things are important parts of starting any business venture–especially one as unique as yours–they’re not all there is to do when starting out as an artist-entrepreneur in this industry.

There are some common stumbling blocks people face when they first start out; here are some tips for overcoming them so that no matter how discouraged or overwhelmed with doubt about whether or not this is right for me at this moment in time…I can keep moving forward toward my goal

Get Creative With Marketing

• Social media. This is a great way to get the word out about your business, but it’s also important that you post regularly and consistently. If you don’t have time for this, consider hiring someone else who can help manage your social media accounts.
• Email marketing. Consider sending out an email newsletter once or twice per month with special offers, tips and tricks for painting classes, or other news related to your business as well as general updates on what’s happening in the world of painting–for example: “I’m going on vacation next week so there will be no classes during that time.” People love getting emails from their favorite businesses!
• Word-of-mouth advertising (or referrals). This is one of the most powerful forms of marketing because it comes directly from someone who has experienced working with you firsthand; therefore they are likely highly qualified references because they know exactly what type of experience they had working with you or attending one of your events/classes/etc..

Offer Promotions and Incentives

Offering discounts and special promotions is a great way to get your customers in the door. You can offer them a discount on their first visit, or you could offer them a free drink or snack after they’ve spent $100 or more at your studio.
